Rhode Island Legal Services, Inc. is a partner in the I-CAN! ™ earned income credit project. The I-CAN! ™ Earned Income Credit Module is an Online method of filing tax returns electronically, and provides assistance in filling out the forms necessary to receive your Earned Income Credit and E-File with the IRS. Information is provided in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
In addition, the Internal Revenue Service maintains a listing of members of the Free File Alliance, who may also be of assistance.
Once you have prepared your federal return, you can go to the Rhode Island Division of Taxation web site to file your Rhode Island State tax return, by using links to free programs.
